Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari would face more solid cases than Nawaz Sharif due to 1000 times strong evidence available against him. While talking to journalists on Saturday at a local hotel, the minister said that "corruption charges against Asif Ali Zardari are stronger than Nawaz Sharif."

He said a forward block is emerging in the ranks of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), adding that the Sharifs had been looting the national wealth for the last 10 years.

Criticizing the National Assembly Speaker's decision of appointing head of the Public Accounts Committee, the minister said he will bring all thieves to justice. "I will talk to the prime minister. I may also become the member of PAC to counter Shehbaz Sharif," he added.

Sheikh Rasheed ruled out the possibility of Governor's rule in Sindh and urged Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to resign. He said the democratic setup will not be warped up in the province as the issues in Sindh will be resolved through negotiations.

The minister said that PR will launch 20 new trains by March 2019 and a separate coach in each train will be reserved for women. More than 6,000 passengers travelling without tickets were arrested during the last six days and more than 70 million rupees as fine were recovered from them. "We will delegate magistrate powers to all the divisional superintendents (DSs) to eradicate travelling without tickets. Travellers without tickets will be sent to jail for seven days and Pakistan Railways will earn approximately Rs 4 billion per year through fines, he predicted.
